We at Arts Are Elementary are so very grateful for all of the hard work that the 10x10 Committee puts into our annual 10x10 Art Exhibit and Sale. The artwork is amazing, the reception is superb, the company is fabulous, and the proceeds help support Arts Are Elementary, a Brunswick non-profit that provides artist residencies to every K-5 student in Brunswick. Simply put, we couldn't do what we do without the help and support of our community, primarily though their participation in the 10x10. ~ Kristi Hatrick, Executive Director, Arts Are Elementary

Alex and I helped out during the art work check-in process and we were struck by the quality of the work brought in for this year's 10 by 10. The online preview - http://www.10x10brunswick.org/styled-6/styled-10/page16.html - is out there and is a must see. Oh, and the food at the show is always a winner.

Every year, I am impressed by the well-oiled machine that is the Brunswick 10x10: the drop off/pick up, the website, the advertising, the reception...all of it is organized, efficient, and professional. I am excited to have two paintings in the show, and I'm planning on making it to the preview so I don't miss anything!

PLAYING IT FORWARD!
I want to give a big shout out of thanks to Boothbay Register's Arts & Entertainment Editor Lisa Kristoff who went out of her way in an 11th hour last-minute-to-deadline scramble to locate one of our artists, Nancy Rogers from Woolwich, who will be participating in the 10x10 Exhibit to help support Arts Are Elementary.

Lisa ran an inspiring article called "Benefit Art Exhibit & Sale includes Woolwich Artist" which I hope you will all take time to read.

We're all seeking ways to "play it forward" these days ~ to extend kindness to a stranger in the future for unexpected kindness that was extended to us in the past.

Lisa Kristoff's generosity shows us one of the ways to do just that. Thank you so much, Lisa! ~ Mary
